It is downright impossible to keep track of all the new businesses being started.
It can be difficult to keep track of just the newest MLM (multi-level marketing) opportunities because there are so many to pick and choose from.
Unfortunately, when you’re dealing with MLMs, it’s important to make sure that you’re well educated.
Otherwise you might end up working for a brand whose main goal is to rip you off.
Today we’re going to give you an unbiased review of Jeunesse, one of the more popular businesses of this type.
What is Jeunesse?
Jeunesse, properly known as Jeunesse Global, is a network marketing company that’s been kicking since 2009.
It was founded by Randy Wendy Lewis.
His goal, and that of the brand, is to help people look the healthiest and most youthful that they possibly could
The company makes use of some pretty intense science and technology to ensure that their products are not only advanced, but that they can stand up to scrutiny.
They claim that their items can help to rejuvenate the body at the cellular level.
They have even claimed that stem cell research is involved in helping them develop their goods.
The company is based out of Florida and is still relatively small for a business of this type.
There are less than 500 people officially employed.
What Does Jeunesse Sell?
Jeunesse sells a wide variety of different products, most of which are geared towards helping people maximize their health and appearance.
That means that they offer:
- A line of health products such as nutritional supplements and healthy snacks.
- A line of skin care products to help your skin look young and fresh.
- A line of fitness products to enhance the results of your workouts and improve endurance.
Their products must be at least passable because the company makes almost half a billion dollars annually.
Jeunesse Most Popular Products
While Jeunesse certainly has a wide variety of products, a lot of them are far more popular than others.
Some of their products are rarely purchased, and some are considered their staples.
These are their staple products and lines.
The Luminesce line is probably their most popular. There are several products in this line that are quite renown.
Cellular Rejuvenation Serum
Cellular Rejuvenation Serum was developed by a dermatologist and claims to be able to help rejuvenate your skin at a cellular level.
It does this by providing the body with a high dose of APT-200, a compound which is known to help fight signs of aging.
Advanced Night Repair
Advanced Night Repair is another Luminesce product that uses APT-200.
It helps to provide benefits to your skin overnight while you’re sleeping.
The Nutritional line is a great assortment of products that will help you improve your overall health.
AM and PM Essentials
AM and PM Essentials are supplements that are designed to be taken in the morning and evening, respectively.
The AM will help you develop long-lasting sustained energy throughout the day and the PM will help provide you with good nutrients that won’t keep you awake for too long.
The ZEN Bodi Line was developed to help promote overall appearance, health, and longevity.
ZEN Shape
ZEN Shape, which makes use of the African mango seed extract, is indicated to help people develop healthy bodies.
ZEN Fit
ZEN Fit is a drink mix that you can include in your water. It’ll provide you with trace nutrients and amino acids while you’re exercising to keep your energy levels up.
Does Jeunesse Work?
Jeunesse doesn’t really stand up to some of the most similar companies.
Other MLMs that sell health and beauty products similar to the ones that they offer include Forever Living and Shaklee.
Forever living has an overall rating of 9.8 based on 293 reviews.
Shaklee has a rating of 7.9 thanks to 102 reviews. Jeunesse, on the other hand, has a rating of 6.3 based on 19 reviews.
This doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re terrible.
It could be the lack of reviewers that accounts for the company’s lower ratings.
Jeunesse does claim that they use good science and reputable people to develop their products.
However, any company can say that their products are ‘backed up by science.’
The real game changer is whether or not people report that their products work, and Jeunesse certainly doesn’t have a 100% track record with customer feedback.
Jeunesse MLM Business Opportunity
Jeunesse provides a MLM business opportunity.
That means that if you’re so inclined you can join the company as a distributor.
What does that mean?
It means that you’re eligible to earn bonuses, discounts, and payments for selling their products and recruiting new people to do the same thing.
Sound too good to be true? It’s not.
But working for any MLM means that you have to put in hard work.
Don’t expect to get rich quick – expect to need to put solid hours down before you see a payout.
That said, if you keep working and rise up through the levels, you can actually make good cash with these types of opportunities.
Jeunesse: The Compensation Plan
Every MLM has a slightly different compensation plan, but they’re all pretty similar.
Jeunesse offers their distributors between 20 and 45% profit for selling retail items.
This is achieved by purchasing things to their wholesale price and then selling them to customers at regular prices.
Preferred customers get a 10% discount on things that they buy.
You can increase this discount to 20% by subscribing to their autoship.
There are several different ways to earn an income with this brand.
- You can sell products at retail value and earn the commission
- You can earn commission from your downline – the people that you recruit. This is often the most effective way to make money with a MLM company.
- There are tons of different bonuses that you can earn, such as the First Order Bonus or Customer Acquisition Incentive which you get after recruiting lots of people.
Your sale volume is calculated weekly and you will be paid accordingly depending on the amount of stuff that you sell.
Is Jeunesse A Pyramid Scheme?
What’s a pyramid scheme?
A pyramid scheme is basically a business in which the members at the bottom of the pyramid are what earn the profits for the members higher up in the pyramid.
Sound like every business ever?
Well… pretty much.
Pyramid schemes have a bit of a stigma attached to them due to some shady MLM companies that ripped off a lot of people years ago.
Before this type of business fell under scrutiny, it was notoriously easy to rip people off by getting them to join your company.
Nowadays, people are more aware.
And reviewers like us make sure that everyone knows whether or not certain brands are going to rip you off.
Jeunesse Reviews & Complaints
There are a wide range of complaints and reviews about Jeunesse.
Customers and employees both seem to have different things to say.
The most recent employee review recommended Jeunesse.
They were happy that their “products were awesome and they actually work like they said they would,” and that they were able to “meet lots of great people and make great friendships.”
An honest reviewer, they also mentioned that it can be “difficult getting people interested.”
Being a good-hearted saleswoman, she “sends out lots of free samples” and her customers “love trying it.”
Another employee bluntly left a review saying that “there are no pros to working here.
Please stay away!”
They said that the “upper level employees do not care about you,” going as far as saying that employees are “a number that is it.”
Customers have had conflicting opinions on their products.
One reviewer for their Ageless cream said that they ordered a “full box that contained 25 vials for $60 CAD – an amazing price!” and that the only “negative point is when applied the cream under my eyes” and it left a bit of a film.
Another reviewer told them that they should “go back to the drawing board.”
They found that the Ageless cream “goes on pasty and dries flaky.”
She reported that “bags [under the eyes] do disappear but the product makes the under eye shrivel.”
That doesn’t sound worth it!
Another review said that they had “promising results” from their Cellular Rejuvenation Serum.
They noticed “an improvement in lines and wrinkles,” but were sad that the “serum only lasted 14 days.”
After that, all the benefits disappeared.
Jeunesse Prices & Where To Buy
Jeunesse prices vary depending on what you’re going to purchase.
Their flagship products, the Luminesce line, are a variety of health and beauty products that range from between $45-135.
They also offer a number of nutritional supplements that start out quite cheap but can cost as much as $140.
If you are going to be buying things from Jeunesse then your best bet is to sign up as a preferred customer.
You’ll get the 10% discount if you do this and you’ll save 20% if you sign up for autoship.
Distributors are able to buy at wholesale prices which is an even better deal.
Some distributors have set up shop on Amazon and you can get their products for about the same price as you would on their individualized websites.
Jeunesse Money Back Guarantee & Refund Policy
Jeunesse will give you a 30-day money back guarantee if you order things directly from the site.
However, if you buy something from a distributor then things get a bit more complicated.
They will have to be returned within 10 days to qualify for a refund.
Distributors who want to return things they bought at wholesale prices will still be eligible for the 30-day refund.
Jeunesse Pros & Cons
It’s a good idea to understand both the pros and cons of any business before you decide to purchase anything or do business with them.
This is especially true with MLM companies, where misreading a simple word in their description can end up with you losing money.
Here are the best and worst things about Jeunesse.
Pros
- They offer good business tools. New members are provided with back office management system access, printed and online education pamphlets and articles, and their own sales website.
- The startup fee is relatively cheap compared to some other MLMs. strangely, it’s more expensive to join in the US, where it will cost $49. Joining in any other country will only cost $49.
- You can join Jeunesse’s social media marketing system for free for the first month. It’ll cost you $19 a month after that. You’ll be better able to manage contacts and start sales campaigns this way.
- They offer several different ways for distributors to make money and are quite clear about the requirements.
- They have a variety of products which are made using quality ingredients. They can be sold to a wide variety of people due to their numerous applications.
Cons
- There have been default issues with Jeunesse. They defaulted on a 4182 million lone that they made after buying MonaVie. The matter is currently under investigation and many distributors or would-be-members are skeptical about joining the company because of this.
- You’ll have to spend a good amount of money monthly to really make any money. You’ll be spending about $85 a month just to make sure that your autoship requalifies. This can be a damper on your profits.
- You need to have relatively advanced marketing skills to make money. It’s true that they give you pretty good training, but new distributors who have never been a part of this type of business before may find this off-putting.
- Refunds aren’t given with the shipping price, so you’ll have to pay a bit to get any refunds.
Jeunesse Review: Final Verdict
If you’re thinking about joining Jeunesse, now you have enough information to make a well-informed decision.
They’re a fairly solid company but they’ve had some sketchy run-ins with legal issues.
However, many customers and workers say that they’re a fair business.
On the other hand, some people think they’re terrible.
The decision is up to you.
Weigh out the pros and cons and you’ll be able to figure out whether or not they’re for you.
