There are a ton of different businesses out there that fit the MLM model, but not all of them are good news.
In fact, a good number of these types of businesses are considered to be scams.
That’s simply not the case with all of them, though.
That said, it’s hard to weed out the good ones from the bad one.
There’s so much going on in each different MLM that it can be hard to give it a single label as ‘good’ or ‘bad.’
That’s why we’ve given this unbiased review of Isagenix, so you can decide for yourself whether or not you want to be a part of them.
What is Isagenix?
Isagenix is one of the most hyped MLM businesses around.
They are well known even among people who don’t know that they offer this type of opportunity.
The company has been around since 2002 and it was formed by a cute husband-wife couple.
Jim and Kathy Coover, the owners, had both previously been successful MLM marketers.
The co-founder, John Anderson, also has experience working in the nutrition industry.
Altogether, this is a pretty good recipe for a health & nutrition MLM business.
Isagenix certainly proved this.
They currently make billions of dollars annually and are available in more than a dozen countries.
Isagenix: What Do They Sell?
Isagenix sells a variety of health, weight loss, and energy products.
You can find nutritional supplements, skin care products, protein powder, and alternative replacements for energy drinks.
They have snacks that you can eat in between workouts.
They have a Targeted Solutions line that aims to attack certain health problems or prevent them from arising.
They have a Healthy Aging Solutions line that’s intended to promote longevity and prevent the signs of aging from emerging.
They offer so many different products that it’s impossible to list them all here.
Isagenix Most Popular Products
Since we can’t list all of their products, the next best thing that we can do is let you know which ones are the most popular.
The following products either have extremely positive reviews or are purchased a lot more than the rest of the brand’s items.
Rejuvity Bamboo Exfoliating Polish
Rejuvity Bamboo Exfoliating Polish is one of their coolest products.
It’s a bamboo-based skincare product that helps to get rid of dead skin cells.
This will keep you looking young and fresh.
Isamune with Zinc
Isamune with Zinc is a great product for people who suffer from immune difficulties.
There are a number of nutrients and herbal products in this spray – aside from zinc, you’ll get some echinacea and colostrum, both of which are known to help boost immunity.
Isagenix 30 Day Weight Loss Pack
Isagenix is well-known for their weight loss programs and supplements and this is one of their most popular ones.
It contains a variety of supplements, shakes, and cleanses to help you lose weight quickly.
Does Isagenix Work?
Isagenix is generally considered to be pretty legit as far as their products go.
Many people have used them and have deemed them to be worthy (though of course not everyone has had good experiences.)
One thing that’s important to know when considering whether or not a company’s products work is the reviews.
Fortunately for them, the majority of reviews left about this brand are quite positive.
There have not been a lot of scientific studies done on their products specifically.
However, many of the ingredients that they use are widely accepted for being beneficial.
That said, many people have reported side effects from using Isagenix products.
It seems that the business is more reliable as an employer than a distributor because not everyone gets the same effects from their products.
Some people have even developed serious problems from them.
The number of people experiencing problems is low enough that they’re able to maintain good ratings, but it’s important to keep this in mind.
Isagenix MLM Business Opportunity
This company offers people the chance to take part in it.
As a multi-level marketing opportunity, you will be given the chance to contribute to the brand and help others do the same.
There are a few things involved in this process.
This can vary between different companies, but overall, the general idea is the same.
You can sell things for the company.
In some cases you’ll buy them at wholesale prices and can sell them.
In other cases you’ll be shipped products and sell them in exchange for points.
You can recruit members to join the company.
These members will sell things and you will generally earn money, a small commission, off of what they sell.
By doing both of these things you’ll usually earn some sort of points.
The more points you earn, the more you’ll be able to level up in the business.
The higher that your rank, the more money you’ll be able to make and the better bonuses that you’ll receive.
Isagenix: The Compensation Plan
While the general idea of most MLM companies is pretty similar, the compensation plan differs greatly between companies.
The compensation plan is generally what makes people decide whether or not they want to take part.
To join Isagenix you’ll need to get a starter pack.
- The business pack will run you about $340.
- The pacesetter pack will run you about $450.
- The presidents pak will run you about $600.
These packs are interesting because they allow you to join at a higher level.
If you join at a higher level you’ll end up with better products to sell and better opportunities.
That said, even the lowest priced pack is still expensive compared to other MLMs which usually range from between $20 and $90 to join.
There are a few different ways to make money from them after you join.
- Retails sales will allow you to earn between 30% and 100% commission on the items that you sell.
- Bonuses will be awarded depending on how much you sell and how many people you recruit.
- Each level of the company will give you different promotions. This is the main incentive for paying a lot for your starter kit.
- Isagenix often offers short-term incentive bonuses (i.e. if you sell a certain amount of x, you will earn y.)
Is Isagenix A Pyramid Scheme?
A pyramid scheme is basically a company in which the higher-ups take money from the lower-downs.
This sounds like a bad thing but it’s pretty much the way that any business works.
The people who started the business reside at the toplevel, and the rest of the company is working for them.
Pretty much everyone who is a part of a business is helping the CEO, or those above them, earn money.
MLM companies are no different.
However, in many cases, they certainly don’t deserve the bad rep that they get.
There have been quite a few businesses of this type that have been unfair to their members and have caused people to lose money by being unfair or explaining things badly.
However, since they got such a bad rep, many MOMs are upfront about their business practices now.
Now it’s up to you to make sure what you’re getting into and to make sure that you’re not going to get ripped off.
Isagenix Reviews
People have a lot of different things to say about Isagenix.
Some people swear by the company, and others have had unpleasant experiences.
One person found that their cleanse product was fairly effective.
They “followed the plan exactly as ordered and lost 11 pounds in 11 days.”
However, they followed this up with “it was torture.”
That’s probably because the human body isn’t meant to lose a pound a day and doing that is extremely dangerous even if you are using herbal health products.
Another reviewer, who made a point to claim that they’re “not an Isagenix rep,” but has a “friend who is an Isagenix rep,” ended up buying a 30-day cleanse.
They said that they “don’t stick to any diet and have no willpower,” and were generally quite skeptical about the product.
They said the product was “expensive,” but they had great results.
They said that “I can’t see me ever not using this product as I feel so good,” so that’s great for them.
Many of the reviews on Amazon (despite the fact that their products are not licensed for sale on the site) are quite positive.
The IsaLean chocolate shake holds a solid 4 stars even though it’s got more than 500 reviews.
One person ordered the product from Amazon because they “have no interest in dealing with the company directly.”
They said that the “shipping was fast, product was sealed, contents not expired.”
This probably speaks higher of Amazon than Isagenix.
They had had a few shakes already that didn’t really do them much good.
They have left a few reviews that are less than shining for a bunch of other brands’ shakes.
They said that Isagenix “texture is superior,” and that the “consistency is light and almost mousse-like.”
They said that they haven’t “tasted any grit or sand” that apparently comes with most other types of drink like this.
Isagenix Prices & Where To Buy
The best place to get Isagenix products is, of course, from their website.
By joining as a distributor you get the wholesale prices which are a bit cheaper than the retail prices.
However if you don’t want to join as a distributor then you can expect to pay regular prices.
These are some of the most common items:
- IsaLean Shakes which are packed with nutrients and protein start at $39.95 for a pack.
- The Cleanse for Life products begin at $32 and can help you eliminate toxic buildup in your body.
- Ionix Supreme, a herbal tonic that’s intended to help fight off stress, will run you about $32.
- IsaLean Bars, delicious protein bars for people who want to grow big and stay healthy, start at $29.95 for a pack.
Otherwise you’ll have to find an independent distributor.
Chances are they’ll contact you, but you can certainly do some searching and find one.
Isagenix Money Back Guarantee & Refund Policy
Isagenix offers a money-back guarantee just like any other self-respecting company will do.
Under their satisfaction guarantee, they will return anything within 30 days of your initial order.
This goes for products that were ordered directly from the site.
For products that were bought through a distributor, then you will have to return them to the distributor.
They will have to refund you and deal with the rest of the product shipment.
Isagenix Pros & Cons
It’s important to know the pros and cons of Isagenix before you decide to join with them.
Pros
- They have earned a number of awards for the quality of their company. This is more than can be said about most MLMs.
- They have an A+ rating on the Better Business Bureau. Most other MLMs that I’ve checked out on their struggle to maintain a 2 star rating.
- They provide high-quality training, assistance and customer service.
- The owner has been working in direct sales for many years.
- They have an easy to navigate website with useful information.
Cons
- The validity of their products have been questioned. They provide some pretty sheisty disclaimers on their own products. They are not evaluated by the FDA.
- They even mention that results from their weight loss programs shouldn’t be expected.
- Some of their products are known to cause side effects. Some of these are serious.
- Just like with any MLM it can be quite difficult to earn money with this company. Fortunately, the brand is upfront about this.
Isagenix Review: Final Verdict
Isagenix has been around for a long time and it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere.
Fortunately, its product line is quite solid.
They have a ton of products for sale and many of them hold solid 4 star reviews despite having hundreds of customers.
Their MLM business isn’t much different than others, but at least Isagenix tells that to its distributors.
They seem to be open and honest with the business.
If you think this sounds like the business for you, then hopefully you have a good experience with them!
