Is Instant Immunity the best affordable immune-boosting multivitamin on Amazon in 2020? Read our review covering ingredients, side-effects, and benefits.

(Last Updated on November 5, 2022)

A top question on everyone’s mind is “how do I boost my immunity?”, especially since the outbreak of COVID-19.

Fortifying the body’s defense system against viruses and infection is important, especially since many of us live sleep-deprived, stressful, and sometimes nutrient-lacking lives.

One of the best and easiest ways to boost immunity is by taking a daily multivitamin.

However, the market is quite saturated, so wading through to find the best ones can be strenuous.

Let’s put all others aside and look at Instant Immunity 20-in-1 by Instant Brands. One of the best immune-boosting supplements.

Our Instant Immunity review covers the ingredients, pros, cons, customer experiences, and benefits of this low-cost immunity-boosting supplement.

Is Instant Immunity better than the rest?

Time to find out.

What Is Instant Immunity?

Instant Immunity bottles

Instant Immunity by Instant Brands is a capsule-form supplement with a long ingredients list formulated to support immune health and function.

It features two special blends (herbal and mushroom) and is marketed as “30 times more effective” than other similar supplements (however, this is a vague claim).

Instant Immunity features a special capsule casing that we will get into further below.

About Instant Brands

Instant Immunity is made by Instant Brands, (sold on Amazon and the Instant Brands official site), who also sells digestive supplements, female health supplements, mood, hair/skin/nails, vision, energy, and oral health supplements.

Instant Brands are a USA-based company that has been around since 2008 but are not (as far as we know) the same brand, or are associated with Instant Brands Inc. (the company behind the Instant Pot).

Instant Immunity Ingredients

Instant Immunity ingredients

We were interested to see that the ingredients list is almost identical to another supplement called Immune Support by Vita Balance Inc.

However, we couldn’t find any link between the two companies.

Instant Immunity supplies an overall amount for the proprietary blend (1544mg) but does not supply the amounts of each ingredient.

This is unfortunate because it’s tough to assess how effective or suitable the supplement is when we don’t know how much of the most desired nutrients we are getting.

For example, we have no idea how much of the very popular Vitamin C is present, nor do we know how much Graviola 1 is included (unfortunate as Graviola can be harmful in certain dosages).

Proprietary blend (1544 mg):

  • Vitamin C.
  • Vitamin E.
  • Selenium.
  • Graviola Leaf: contains antioxidants, B vitamins, and zinc.
  • Red raspberry juice extract: antioxidants, B & C vitamins.
  • Green Tea: antioxidant 2.
  • Beta-Glucan: increases immune cells and immune response.
  • Curcumin powder.
  • Cat’s Claw: increases immune response.
  • Garlic: vitamin C, B6, B1 and zinc.
  • Korean ginseng.
  • Lycopene: a carotenoid (antioxidant) 3.
  • Quercetin: a flavonoid (antioxidant and anti-inflammatory).
  • Pine bark: antioxidant.
  • Pomegranate: vitamin C, A, and E, and a powerful antioxidant.
  • Olive leaf: contains an antioxidant called oleuropein. Also anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial.
  • ARA 6 Arabinogalactan: boosts probiotics in the gut. Activates immune cells and antibodies.
  • Grapeseed.

Essiac tea complex:

  • Indian Rhubarb.
  • Burdock root powder.
  • Sheep sorrel aerial parts powder.
  • Slippery elm powder.

Mushroom complex:

  • Shiitake, reishi, maitake mushrooms: mushrooms contain beta-glucans 4 (a type of polysaccharide) that support the immune system by triggering an immune response. Beta-glucans do this by helping macrophages (white blood cells) to find and destroy nasty intruders.

What are Potent Absorb Caps?

The ingredients are encased in “potent absorb caps”.

These capsules are designed to hold more active ingredients, releases the ingredients more slowly, and preserves the potency.

They protect the active ingredients by stopping air and moisture from corrupting them.

How Does Instant Immunity Work?

Instant Immunity works by packing the body with a range of antioxidants that fight free radicals and stops them from attacking cells (including immune cells).

What’s more, Beta-Glucans stimulate immune cells so they can more effectively find and kill pathogens such as viruses and bacteria.

Instant Immunity Benefits

  • Easy to take.
  • Lots of antioxidant ingredients.

How To Use Instant Immunity?

Take 2 capsules each day, with water.

Instant Immunity Side Effects

Instant Immunity pills

There are no immediately concerning ingredients in Instant Immunity, aside from Graviola which can lead to brain-related issues such as Parkinson’s.

However, we don’t know how much Graviola is in each dose.

While we can only assume that the levels are within safe guidelines, don’t take Instant Immunity if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have Parkinson’s disease.

What’s more, while Burdock root is generally considered safe to take, pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid it.

We didn’t come across many Instant Immunity customer reviews describing side effects, but we did find this vague comment:

“The first pill made me sick. I took no other.”

However, without any other information (such as specific side-effects, diet, existing conditions, allergies, etc.) it’s hard to take this into consideration.

We also found this more specific review mentioning an upset stomach:

“I wish I could say they work but they upset my stomach even with following directions and starting off with the smallest dose. Had to stop taking but wish it worked as I have so many medical conditions and an immune system that is compromised.”

We recommend running this past your doctor so they can assess the ingredients against your specific medical needs and history.

Is Instant Immunity FDA-Approved?

No, because the FDA doesn’t approve dietary supplements.

However, Instant Brands states that they use only ingredients that are on the FDA’s list of “Generally Recognized as Safe” ingredients (GRAS) 5.

Is Instant Immunity A Scam?

No, Instant Immunity isn’t a scam, but some customers have stated concerns that it’s not quite as effective as it is described.

These opinions mostly stem from the fact that the exact formula isn’t described, for example:

“It’s a blend formula. You have no idea of the amounts of these 20 ingredients. Fools buy.”

Instant Immunity Reviews & Complaints

Instant Immunity pill

The reviews on the Instant Brands site are all 5-star, so we’re assuming they control the reviews they allow on the site.

However, Amazon shows a more mixed bag.

Some customers expressed frustration at the lack of information regarding ingredient amounts.

Such as:

“Any manufacturer that does not reveal exact ingredients and their content does not deserve respect. Proprietary formulas are just marketing tricks and not worth wasting money. Bought two bottles in my health store, and I was not overly impressed. Actually I do not understand if I miss some of the ingredients, as exact formulation is not disclosed.”

On a more positive note, some people found that Instant Immunity has helped them to avoid catching seasonal bugs, and even boosted energy levels:

“I have a very weak immune system. Since I started using Instant Immunity it has boosted my energy level tremendously. On my recent visit to the doctor, my blood pressure reading was the lowest it has ever been. Very impressed with this product.”

“I absolutely love these supplements! I have 3 little girls and without a doubt they always bring home germs to share with both Mom and Dad! I’ve been taking these since the start of the year (approximately 8 months) and have noticed how little I’ve caught a cold or if I have, it’s very minimal and super short lived.”

Instant Immunity Review: Final Verdict

Instant Immunity bottle

While there are some good ingredients in Instant Immunity, it’s disappointing that the exact formula is not disclosed.

For this reason, we conclude that your money may be better spent on a supplement you can be assured is going to address your needs.

If the ingredients list looks appealing to you, you could always purchase one bottle, give it a try, and send it back if it doesn’t impress (before the 30 day window is up).

Because Instant Immunity contains Graviola and Burdock root powder, please check with your doctor before taking it if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have existing medical conditions.
