Healthy skin is often the first thing people notice about us.

Don’t you wish your skin spoke more clearly for you?

ClearPores is a three-step system designed to give you clean and radiant skin.

Shine from the inside-out with ClearPores natural supplement, face wash and lotion — or so they say.

Does it deliver on their promise for healthy skin?

Read our review below.

What Is ClearPores?

ClearPores is a physical-approved, three-step formula manufactured by Leading Edge Health.

Leading Edge Health is a prominent member of the health and supplement industry.

With 40+ overlapping products, Leading Edge Health redefines the typical approach to natural health care.

If one product doesn’t work for you, chances are one of their other patented formulas will.

The ClearPores system treats the internal and external causes of acne.

Stress, diet, digestion, liver function and hormones all play a part in acne contribution.

A comprehensive three-step approach is designed to treat all causes of acne — balancing your body to restore your skin.

Clear Pores Product List

Deep Facial Wash

It removes existing acne, acne bacteria, excess sebum, and dead skin cells, while preventing pore blockages and normalizing the skin’s pH balance.

Natural Herbal Supplement

It helps your body fight bacteria, regulate hormones, flush toxins and bulk up the defense system to combat redness, swelling and inflammation.

Protection Cream

It deliver relief from inflammation and smooths the skin for a healthy, dewy finish.

It also restricts bacterial growth to prevent future breakouts and blemishes.

Clear Pores Ingredients

The Natural Herbal Supplement is a combination of over 10 medicinal herbs.

Deep Facial Wash is a largely synthetic mixture with a few herbal extracts or plant-derived ingredients.

The Protection Cream is a mixture of synthetically-processed (although potentially naturally-derived) chemical compounds.

Dandelion Root

Dandelion Root contains a natural array of nutrients for skin health.

Protein, magnesium calcium, as well as vitamins A and B, help produce healthy skin and fight sun damage.

Dandelion also has anti-inflammatory properties: perfect for those with sensitive skin or rosea.

Burdock Root (Arctium Lappa)

This relatively unknown medicinal plant helps purify the blood.

Antioxidants and flavonoids in burdock root detox the blood of harmful toxins.

Aside from promoting youthful skin, this ancient root combats acne and eczema by clearing the blood of infections and eliminating impurities.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is a highly useful and versatile tool for skin care.

For treating acne, specifically, the anti-bacterial and anti-fungal elements enter inflammation and acne wounds.

Aloe is particularly useful in treating redness, itching and rashes (in part, due to its magnesium lactate component).

Other Ingredients in the Natural Herbal Supplement

Yellow Dock (Rumex Crispus), Echinacea Purpurea, Red Clover (Trifolium Pratense), Sarsaparilla Root (Smilax Officinalis), Licorice Root (Glycyrrhiza Glabra), Turmeric (Curcuma), Atlantic Kelp (Ascophyllum Nodosum), Cayenne (Capsicum Annuum), Partially Hydrogenated Cotton Seed Oil, Kosher, NF, Magnesium Stearate, Gelatin Capsule.

In the Deep Facial Wash and Protection Cream, let’s take a look at three “double dosage” ingredients (those present in both products).

Glyceryl Stearate

Glyceryl stearate is the final product of a reaction between glycerin and stearic acid (both of which are typically derived from natural sources).

Glyceryl stearate contributes a creamy texture to many cosmetics and skin care products.

It’s hydrating and moisturizing properties are typically well-tolerated, although skin irritation or allergic reactions may potentially occur.

Propylene Glycol

Propylene Glycol is a synthetic surfactant that breaks down the skin barrier — making absorption quick and easy for propylene glycol and any accompanying ingredients.

Once absorbed into the skin, propylene glycol (and other formula friends) can wreck harm in the body — irritating the skin, gut, liver and kidneys.

It can cause dermatitis and severely aggravate skin conditions.

Cetearyl Alcohol

Cetearyl alcohol can be produced synthetically or naturally derived from coconut and palm oil fatty acids.

Since it is oil-soluble, it is often used to improve a product’s texture.

And, although it is an alcohol, it is not considered to be a skin irritant or risk to sensitive skin like other alcohols.

Other Ingredients in the Deep Facial Wash

Water, Glycerin, PEG-100 Stearate, Xanthan Gum, Linum Usitatissimum (linseed) Seed Extract, Ulmaria (Meadowsweet) Root Extract, SD alcohol 40, Farnesol, Polysorbate 60, Cyclopentasiloxane, Salicylic Acid (beta hydroxy acid, abbreviated BHA) , Sclerotium Gum, Disodium EDTA, BHT, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Retinyl Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Polysorbate 20, Capryloyl Glycine, Phospholipids, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Bisabolol.

Other Ingredients in the Protection Cream

Water, Isopropyl Palmitate, Cetyl Alcohol, Steareth-21, Dimethicone, Soy Lecithin, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Ceteth-10 Phosphate, Steareth-2, Thioctic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Citric Acid, Diazolidinyl Urea, Laureth-7, Methylparaben, Disodium EDTA, Propylparaben.

How Does Clear Pores Work

ClearPores three-step system seeks to banish the initial internal cause of acne, while clearing away current acne bacteria and providing lasting protection.

The herbal supplement supplies your body with nutrients to flush toxins, cleanse the bloodstream and regulate hormones.

The deep facial wash then removes pore-clogging dead skin cells, acne bacteria and excess sebum (oil) through an exfoliation process.

The protection creams moisturizes the skin while applying a known acne-fighter, salicylic acid (2%).

Salicylic acid can cause dryness and irritation, so the added hydration is a must for overall skin care.

How To Use Clear Pores

The CleanPores three-step system requires roughly 2-3 weeks to take effect.

Some customers see improvements within the first two weeks, but dramatic effects typically take full three months of daily use.

After three months, continue three-step process daily to retain results.

  • Take two capsules of the herbal supplement every day.
  • Use the facial wash in the morning and evening on wet skin for 2-3 minutes.
Rinse with cool water and pat dry.
  • Apply a dime-size amount of Protection Cream on the face and neck roughly five minutes after using the facial wash.

TIP: Avoid the eye area.

  • Month 1: the “purging” process. Improvements possible, but acne worsens in severe cases.
  • Month 2: breakouts lessen. Redness and irritation will leave to reveal smooth and soft skin.
  • Month 3: the acne cycle ends. Skin will be clear, healthy and dewy (with occasional pimple).

Clear Pores Side Effects

  • Purging process results in initial breakout.
  • Make make skin worse, according to reviewers.
  • Painful pimples, redness and dryness may occur.

Prior to using ClearPores, consult your doctor if you are pregnant or trying to become pregnant.

Is Clear Pores A Scam?

The herbal supplement is a good idea — and one that is often overlooked by acne treatments.

Unfortunately, that may be where the good news ends.

While the naturopathic supplement seeks to balance the system, the ingredients in the wash and cream seem to belittle the process with ingredients like propylene glycol and dimethicone.

These ingredients (and more) — although approved by the FDA — actually irritate the skin more.

The proof is in the pudding when we look to the customers reviews.

Even out of a limited pool of reviews, users saw skin worsened to the point of requiring a doctor.

Customers also reported the company refused to refund their money — despite the guarantee.

Gina shares:

Fewer Breakouts and acne scars are fading. Takes awhile to work its cycle. Its not a harsh product for your skin, it does not leave it dry eithier. People need to give it more of a chance and be patient. I know you want a fast relief but, in the long run you’ll be happy you stuck it out.

Its better to use somthing natural and moisturizing than something harsh and drying. I just started my second month with this and I am getting fewer breakouts. I do use the clarisonic brush. My skin never got worse only better when I started using this product.

Jess reports:

Its pretty easy to use, and smells great. It also moisturized my skin fairly well during the first few days of usage. After about a week of usage, my skin had cleared up noticeably. However around the time I started noticing results, I also developed an extremely painful reaction.

My skin became REALLY red, irritated and extremely dry, similar to a bad sunburn. It may work on some people, however it’s important to be aware of how well your skin can tolerate the active ingredient, sallyalic acid.

A guest explains:

No pros. My skin has worsened to a level that I had to visit a doctor. The product is not ready for public distribution I guess. After I placed the order, when I tried to cancel it(within the next five minutes) by sending an email to them, they replied saying that they have already shipped it. The product sucks and the price you pay for it is too much.My face has become worse and I regret buying it. Customer service sucks too.

Martin contends:

Not at All The Worst product i have ever tried. My face got worst as never before. It has been 2 months and i haven’t seen any positive result except more breakouts on my face. i am really upset about this product and waste of my money. First, i thought this would work, because i found lot web sites which recommend this product with excellent feedbacks. My skin looks really worse and this looks like a scam. This Sucks.

Clear Pores Review: Final Verdict

When it comes to ClearPores, they certainly have one thing right: treating acne is more than skin-deep.

Your diet, nutrient levels, hormones and a host of other body functions affect your largest organ — your skin.

When you aim to balance the overall system, it helps to not get in the way by applying known irritants.

If you decide to try out ClearPores, keep this element in mind when using the face wash and cream.

It worked for some people, and it may work for you.

But, if it doesn’t, and you can’t get a refund —- it may be worth swapping out the face wash and cream with an all-natural gentle cleanser and moisturizer…. and just hang on to the supplement.
