Ever wondered what your thyroid gland is and what it does?

It is a small gland in your neck. It plays a very important part in the functions of your body. It controls your metabolism.

It makes two hormones that are released into the blood: thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3). These hormones are necessary for all the cells in your body to work normally.

An underactive thyroid may leave you feeling tired, cold or depressed. It may also cause weight gain and poor concentration.

An overactive thyroid may cause weight loss and anxiety. It may also cause heat intolerance and sometimes, sore and gritty eyes.

Actalin is a dietary supplement that claims to support your optimal thyroid health.

Let’s explore what it has to offer.

There are some reviews on dietspotlight. Some customers are very happy with the product.

Annie writes:

Have had GREAT results with Actalin. UNLIKE Synthroid And Levothroid which were prescribed by physicians. With Actalin even the afternoon slumps are prevented and I don’t have to sleep an entire weekend each month as I did with AMA doctor prescriptions. Everyone is different, but I am very satisfied I found Actalin. The price is also reasonable (3 bottles for the price of two!)

There are many testimonials on the company website. Some say it has prevented medical intervention.

Linda M writes:

Four months ago my blood test showed I was getting hypothyroidism and my doctor wanted me to go on medicine because my blood test four months prior showed the same thing. I ask the doctor to wait until the next blood test before I take medicine. After taking Actalin for a month, I had another blood test and the results were much lower and in the normal range. I am so thankful that Actalin helped me and I didn’t have to have medicine.

Not all people are quite so happy. Some people have experienced side effects.

Pat Pearce reports:

I suddenly started having bouts of diarrhea and vomiting. I was extremely sick, but wasn’t sure it was the medication. After reviewing other comments, I realize it was the Actalin. I do not vomit frequently or very easily. After four separate incidents of severe vomiting and diarrhea, I knew something bad was wrong. I quit taking the Actalin.

Some are put off by the inclusion of Adrenal Glandular Bovine Powder.

Fredy Williams writes:

I haven’t gotten any yet, but don’t like that it contains bovine glandular whatever.

17 Replies to Actalin Review: Does It Really Work?

  1. My doctor specialist for thyroid wants me to have radioactive for my hypothyroid gland. I just went for a scan with iodine yesterday february 7. I am taking the pill Propanolol 10 mg. I am not for radioactive because it will burn my thyroid and he wants to put me on hormone and I believe that hormone makes to gain weight. What should I do? Do you have a good solution for me?

    1. I was 100% hyper thyroid my dr convinced me to get the iodine treatment she said it was much safer and now I’m gaining weight by the day she put me on hormone medication and I’m gaining it even faster
Do not get the Iodine treatment
It kills off too much of the cells

  2. I was considering trying Actalin, but I read ingredients and it has MSM (which contains sulfur). Several years ago I was told NOT ever to take sulfur because
of being allergic to it; even a small dose could kill me. And I am not ready for that.
    I read about actalin taking care of ‘hot flashes. I have been getting terrific ones;
I thought it was from radiation treatments I had in 2016; my physician took me
off Zoloft and put me on Welbutrin, hoping that would take care of the problem.
I have been taking the Welbutrin for a couple of months now, with no results. I was told not to take any hormone supplements since I had “0” Stage cancer in my left breast. I had a lumpectomy, and 30 radiation treatments. They put me on
Tamoxifen for a little while and I could not stand it after 25 doses. I refused to take it any longer and did not feel comfortable taking any of the other two that
were offered to me. I read somewhere that my ‘hot’ periods could be caused from my heart–I have not discussed this with my family physician. I take 80 mcg or mg, daily, for my hypothyroidism.

  3. I prefer to see independent clinical trials of a product. Brownstein organization has a great deal of hype, slicking advertising, but I am not convinced Actalin is the correct product for me based on an infomercial.

  4. I started taking Actalin and my breast started bleeding, So I stopped and my breast stop bleeding. I took it for about 3 weeks before I noticed the bleeding, one morning I woke up and did overed the blood on my sheet, so I immediately went to the doctor and scheduled mamograms eventually discovered that it was the Actalin

  5. I dont remember ordering this, and i dont even know if it will help me or hurt me because i dont even have a thyroid! It and 2 of the 4 parathyroids were removed because of tumors, non cancerous. So somebody needs to let me know what i should be doing or not doing, asap!

  6. What I can say is that I notice this to carve my appetite. I dont feel as hungry as I normally do. Im not a breakfast eater so I normally get hungry around 12pm and i mean starving. Now I dont feel hungry until around 3 or 4pm and it dont be a starving hunger. And I only want certain foods. At first I would eat what ever now its healthier choices and I dont over eat like how I normally would.

  7. I have thyroid problems not sure what kind i am on medicine NP Thyroid 60mg i honestly need to find out more abt my thyroid cause the medication doesn’t help not even when i was at 90mg. I have no ambition, tired, trouble losing weight, 0% sex drive. Depression not intrested in leaving my house except to work which i have to do. 58yr old hate life my husband is a saint supportive, loving, understanding, God bless him he deserves better then myself.

  8. I have hypo -thyroid and take perscribed medication. Started taking Actalin and found after 4 days I was getting very dizzy. Stopped taking and dizziness stopped. Didn’t work for. They should advise of possible side affects like all medications do however this is not under the same standards. User Beware !!

  9. I have experienced diarrhea with Actalin. I stopped taking it for two weeks, and after starting Actalin the diarrhea began again.
